Mel Brooks Musical Young Frankenstein

In Mel Brooks’ zany spoof Young Frankenstein, Frederick, the reluctant grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenstein, inherits his grandfather’s castle in Transylvania. Despite his initial disinterest, he’s drawn into recreating Victor’s experiments, aided by quirky Igor, lovely Inga, and enigmatic Frau Blücher. When they accidentally give the Monster an abnormal brain, chaos ensues as it escapes, threatening to terrorize the countryside in classic Frankenstein fashion. Ritz Flix: The Shining

In Stanley Kubrick’s adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall star as a family isolated in a remote hotel. Jack, a writer with a dark past, slowly descends into madness under the influence of the hotel’s sinister history, threatening the lives of his wife and psychic son. In partnership with the City of Sanford. $5 at the door, free for Theater members.



Seminole State College Fall Jazz Concert
Tue., October 22 at 7:30PM
Calling all Jazz enthusiasts. Seminole State College presents the SSC Jazz Ambassadors Big Band, Seminole Sound Choral Group, and Jazz Combo in concert for a night of jazz. Led by band director, James Smisek and choral director, Dianna Campbell, the ensembles will be performing both classic and contemporary compositions for your listening pleasure. Free admission with online RSVP or tickets at the door.

A Latin Festival: A Celebration of Dance & Music
Fri., October 25 at 7PM
Experience an unforgettable evening of Latin American culture featuring colorful dances and musical performances by Mexico Lindo Folkloric Ballet Orlando, Isla Danza Venezuela, Escuela de Bomba y Plena Tata Cepeda, Aldelsur, Spirit of Samba, and Flamenco del Sol. Presented in partnership with the Ritz Theater and CEBETCAL. Tickets: 28-$35

Ritz Flix: Monsters on Magnolia Triple Feature
Sat., October 26 from 2PM – 10PM
The triple feature includes “Friday the 13th Part 2” a classic horror film that follows a group of camp counselors as they are terrorized by a masked killer at a summer camp; “Halloween” a legendary horror film that follows the relentless pursuit of killer Michael Myers as he terrorizes a small town on Halloween night, and dinner break then “Nightmare on Elm Street” a horror classic that follows teenagers haunted by a vengeful spirit, Freddy Krueger, in their dreams. Film tickets are $15 for all three films and free for theater members or the triple feature plus, dinner at Dees Brothers Brewery with an additional film during dining. Tickets for the full film and dinner package are $30 per person and $15 for theater members (limited to 50 guests).

Ritz Charity Bingo
Tuesday, October 22 at 7PM
Have fun and support the Ritz Theater at our monthly Bingo held at Dees Brother’s Brewery across the street from the theater. We have fun prizes, a 50/50, and of course, great food/drinks are available for purchase. We play 4 rounds of regular bingo and one 50/50 game. The price for the regular games is $20 for 24 bingo cards (you can play as many cards as you like in each game). The 50/50 bingo cards are sold separately for $5 each.

The Theater, a 100-year-old restored performing arts center, is located at 201 S. Magnolia Avenue in historic downtown Sanford, FL. The box office ticket window is open weekday from 9:30 to 5:30 and 2 hours before each performance.
