This season has been a very different one. 2020 certainly has been a year of changes and appreciate what we have. As a family we valued those moment we can share together, normally we travel during this festive season but things have changed and we must adapt to the new. This Christmas we decided not to visit our friends and extended family overseas. We stayed together close to home and we found peace and fun in a little paradise that is like a hidden gem in busy Central Florida. Fantasy World Resort in Kissimmee, Florida is everything we wanted, more than we wished for, but didn’t knew we really needed. As our family was hosted in the resort we experienced a sense of closeness, we shared unforgettable memories that will cherish for years to come. The resort stay this holidays brought us together as a family in a sense of comfort home away from home.
It is rare to see all of us sporting matching pajamas or sipping hot cocoa while watching a movie. During most of our family traveling we usually go around socializing with other family members and friends- but this year was special, we created a bond , a bond that has always been there but now is stronger than ever and we just realized how much we liked each other and how special and different each member of the family is. This was all a result of staying close together – just us in the same villa , no outsiders, just the family and even Santa brought us a special early visit. I’m sure our family experience can inspire you to try this with yours.
While there at Fantasy World Resort -we had the opportunity to stay and experience their Christmas event : Home for the Holidays. The resort works hard into creating interactive experiences for visitors and guest of all ages. The first floor of the activity center was made into a pathway of cut out celebrities that you can interact and take pictures with, while the second floor was turned into an Ice (plexiglass) skating rink. Before the skating area, there was a set up of different scenarios of Christmas Village where you can take pictures or even play throwing each other Florida weather “snowballs” (cotton puffs). While on the skating area, you can grab a hot cocoa and some cookies or a soft drink.
My toddler had the most magical experience ever as she was for a moment alone on the ice and the attendant changed the music to Let it Go ( baby Luna’s favorite song) because she overheard her singing it and then in the middle of the song she turned on the Florida snow machine (bubbles)!! This made for all of us an unforgettable moment and a special memory. This is the kind of people that make this place so nice.
At their activity center (a 2 story building) you can also find a big balcony that oversees the pool area, a Build a Bear Workshop, Glitter tattoos, and arts and crafts, an arcade, a place to get balls for the tennis , basketball, and mini golf courts, and you can even set appointments for batting cages for baseball and softball practice. We tried the batting cages and it was awesome stress relief for my husband who works a lot! (yes he was working while we where at the resort too).
The resort itself is nice but the costumer service experience gives this place a magical star above its rating. Everyone from the moment we stepped into the Resort until we said good bye- I mean literally everyone was in a great mood and eager to help not just us but we observed as well as they treated other guest with the same respect and happiness. This alone has a lot o value to us.
