We were invited to enjoy #Bierfest in Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and the experience was great! Craft beer and food sampling was the main focus, although it has music and games. The section of the park assigned to this festival was perfect and concentrated. We enjoyed the festival while the teens went to the rest of the park.
There was a good selection and a lot of varieties to choose from. A prepaid card with 10 punches was a good asset to have because it saves money and it makes it easier to get what you want to taste. The punches could be redeemed for food, beer , soda, water and even some extras.
My all time favorite was the frozen sangria and wine! Wow it was perfect for the hot weather day! It rained a bit and they closed the kiosks and booths everytime there was electric activity nearby , quite frustrating weather because we really wanted to enjoy the festival without interruptions. However Buschgardens looks out for your safety and it is greatly appreciated. The booths open as soon as the weather was better.
The presentation on the food was casual but creative. The favorite sample was fish and chips ( we had like 4 or 5 of that between my husband and I). I also enjoyed some truffle oil Mac and cheese in a nugget shape . ( Our toddler ate most of it too).
I really wished for more frozen wine but when we walked back it was closing time 🙁 . I recommend it and also the strawberry cider ! Although my husband will disagree and would like to recommend something more strong like a classic Guiness beer!
This weekend is the Last of Bierfest for this year , we surely hope to visit and enjoy it in next years!
